2019 Resolutions

Do you make New Year’s resolutions?

Outfit Details: Rag & Bone Mid-Waist Skinny Jeans, Ted Baker Booties (old, similar), Zara Dressed (tucked in, similar), Cuyana Structured Tote, Elsa Peretti Bean Necklace, Gucci Belt (wearing similar)

Leading into 2017 I realized that making a list of resolutions – things I desperately wanted to achieve – led to disappointment, year after year. Instead, I decided to choose a new word year after year that would stay with me for 365 days – a little theme, if you will.

2018’s word was contentmentI worked to only chase things that brought me joy (skip to 1:19) and put my mental health and happiness first. I worked out regularly, I made use of my mini kitchen… alot, I focused on growing friendships and cultivating new, I made my studio a home, I made time to read, and I launched this little piece of the internet to showcase my musings. I achieved the goals I set out to accomplish both professionally and personally, and I found contentment and a sense of gratefulness – more so than ever. Or does that just come with age?

I’ve been thinking about 2019’s theme for some time, and I finally settled on consistencyIf you know me you know I can have a hard time sticking to something besides working out. I can be a lot of talk, I’ll admit, but in 2019 I resolve to be more consistent in all aspects of life and stick to my intentions. Expect daily posts and more activity on Instagram around here. I’m really excited for 2019 and what it will bring!

Please share in the comments any of your resolutions, or what your word of the year would be!
